Former director of the University of Maryland’s alternative medicine centre, R Barker Bausell (featured in the Baltimore Sun on 24th January) has a book out called Snake Oil Science. I spotted the Baltimore Sun article on David Colquhoun’s miniblog at Improbable Science and decided to google Bausell. One of the hits on the first page was for a wordpress tag which led to this piece by AP Gaylard. Bausell himself has written a blog post at OUP, who provide an excerpt from the book here. Harriet Hall posted a review at Science Based Medicine, the Skeptic’s Dictionary has a review and it has been featured in the New York Times and it also appeared at the blog Campaign for the American Reader.
